Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo with Vince Lombardi Trophy in the foreground

Here we are at the last game of the NFL season. The Super Bowl is always a special event that brings in around 100 million viewers in the US alone. It is a special one for the NFL as their 100th season is wrapped up on Sunday. There are going to be plenty of non-player stars on the field with Demi Lovato performing the National Anthem. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will take to the stage to perform the eagerly anticipated half-time show.

We have seen the Kansas City Chiefs stage two comebacks in the Divisional round against the Texans. They repeated it again in the Conference Championship against the Titans. The Chiefs went behind early in these games but they controlled the second halves. Kansas never looked like losing after the 3rd quarter in post-season. The Super Bowl will always mean a lot to any franchise that can reach it but for the Chiefs, it is their first Super Bowl in 50 years.

San Francisco is returning to another Super Bowl. This will be their first return for the Lombardi trophy since the 2012 game famous for the blackout in the second half. The 49ers will be eager to win Super Bowl LIV as they will match the Steelers and Patriots for most Super Bowl victories. San Francisco easily dismantled the Packers and Vikings but the Chiefs will prove much more of a test. Read our Super Bowl LIV Betting Preview below.

Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers, Sunday 2nd February @ 11.30 PM

The first time these teams have ever met each other in a Super Bowl is sure to be an exciting match. The battleground for these teams will be the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The Chiefs open up as favourites in this fixture at 50/59 against the spread of (-1) against the spread on GiveMeBet. There is very little separating these two sides and this game is certainly going to be won on the day.

Even though the Chiefs are a primarily passing team we believe they will come out with a running game. The Chiefs are likely to attempt a few bellies runs, some power o’s and possibly add a toss into the running game. San Francisco’s defence has struggled against some of these during the season. If running can gain yards for the Chiefs it will open up to include there passing game on offence. However, the 49ers have a full roster and have had the best defence in the season throughout this year. San Francisco has the best passing defence and could limit the Chiefs best weapon in Mahomes.

Jimmy Garoppolo threw just 8 times in the victory over the Packers. This shows that San Francisco can utilise both their legs on the ground and the throwing game. The weather is forecast for rainy conditions down in Miami. This could be an advantage to the 49ers who have a stronger ground game than the Chiefs. Jimmy G has proven he can have a QB shootout in games such as the one against the Saints during the regular season. He is still not on the same level as Patrick Mahomes who has been one of the best QBs in the entire NFL this season.

Mahomes is evens to take home the MVP award whereas Garoppolo is 2/1. Other players in the mix include Mostert at 6/1, Kittle at 15/1, Kelce at 16/1 and Tyreek Hill at 16/1.

This game is difficult to call and is going to the team who is willing to fight for it more on the day. It is one that means a lot to both teams and the NFL. In the hopes that it doesn’t disappoint like last years game, we have chosen a winner. Our pick for Super Bowl LIV Betting Preview is San Francisco at 11/10 on GiveMeBet.
